Background

Jamie grew up in the Southwest (Texas, New Mexico) and became interested in east Asian culture at a very young age.  He graduated NMSU (Las Cruces) in the 90’s with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Microbiology and a B.A. in Chemistry, during which time he met his wife, Annette.  They became followers of Christ soon after graduation.  He went on to earn his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, 2010.  Over the years Jamie has worked as a martial arts instructor, chemist, lab technician at Baylor College of Medicine, high school science teacher and draftsman.  He now lives in Lubbock with his wife and 2 children.

A personal approach to Wellness

There is no separation between body, mind, and spirit within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  One affects the other.  Therefore, I treat the whole person, recognizing that God is the ultimate healer.  (The word Yusai means “a practice to manifest the divine”).  It is my intention to spend more time with each patient, educating each about their health, feeding the touch-starved, and doing everything I can to improve their state of well-being.
TCM is becoming more prevalent as people search for alternatives to the status-quo of health care in this country.  I have a deep belief that being healthy should not just be for those who can afford it.  Coming from a lower-income background, I am dedicated to offering affordable health care for those who have financial difficulties.  I am passionate about helping people and Yusai Acupuncture allows me an avenue to do just that.
